I doubt you ovulated twice. You probably had a little surge a few days before actual ovulation. That happens to me sometimes I will surge then a few days later my tests will get darker again. Sometimes I keep testing and my tests strips remain dark until my period is well under way.

it sounds biologically impossible that one ovulates twice a month. but I did some reading a while ago on fertility cycles and the moon phases. According to one source women have 2 fertile phases a month. Again, I don' t know how this is possible. I do know you can ovulate very early, day 5 , 6, or 7 and become pregnant. Best wishes.

The test strips don't tell you that you ovulated, just that your LH levels are above a certain threshhold, meaning your body is likely trying to ovulate. You could have surged but failed to ovulate, in which case your body will try again until it gets it right. Some women also have another LH surge right before AF, even though they have already ovulated.

I stopped using dip strips and started buying digitals because I ran into the same problem. I would get positive OPKs and have sex then the OPKs would return to negative for a few days so I would think my fertile phase was over then the tests would start to look positive again. Can I ask why you tested with an OPK on the first day of your period? Just curious. It's really not necessary though. Are you using them to confirm that you've ovulated? Do you chart your temperature as well? This helps to confirm your ovulation by showing a sustained rise in temperature after ovulation. If your temperature confirms ovulation then you don't have to keep testing with OPKs to make sure you did.

my period is irregular so i had no clue it was startig! i took test and when i wiped there was the start of my 2nd period. i had a loss jan 18 2014so everythigs really just gettig back to normal.i took a test today and got the brightest positive ive ever had oncthe dip ones answers brand..but a neg on up & up..i dont like the up & up brand! they hardly pick up that i have any LH in my system.today my temp was 98.5 it had only been like 97 till today.
