I'm pretty new to this site but I felt compelled to ask a question. I'm wondering if any of you ladies are feeling lack of support from your partners. We've been trying to conceive since July 2013. I felt really good about this month but unfortunately I got AF today. :( My husband told me to stop overreacting and try to be positive, etc... I understand that he's trying to cheer me up but it just comes off as unsupportive and selfish. I don't know how to get him to understand that it's disappointing and difficult to see AF month after month. I'm looking for some advice and/or support on how to deal with this issue. Thank you ladies in advance. For those trying to conceive, I send prayers your way... I would really appreciate if you can do the same for me. Thank you.

Hi there, we have been TTC since last July as well and have not been successful despite Femara, FSH injections, herbs, vitamins, Preseed, etc, etc...It is indeed very very frustrating. I have to go to my dr's office multiple times a month for ultrasounds and blood tests. it is such an investment in time, money , and emotions. my husband is very supportive but gets quickly fed up when I am frustrated with this repetitive process of trying. We women are taking the full hit when it comes to TTC. There might be support groups out there. I definitely advise against taking any antidepressants. For me, my trust in the Lord is the only one solid support in this matter - and still I get sad and frustrated at times. Best wishes an don't give up.

Hi Phillips, thank you for your response. I am so sorry you are dealing with so much. My DH talked and we decided to set-up an appointment with the Doctor. I've been dreading it because somehow it solidifies that we are indeed having fertility issues. I trust God and do not doubt his will but it still gets hard every now and then. I will be praying for you.

I will pray for your situation tonight. One advice|: Choose your doctor carefully; some of these fertility clinics out there are not to be trusted. We have received poor treatment and bad advice many times. University programs can be very helpful and are trustworthy. Where do you live? And keep in mind, you might not even have a real fertility problem. It can take quite a long time to conceive. The odds are always against you. I would get my hormone levels checked with a good reproductive endocrinologist. Listen to what he says. Then form your own opinion through the internet I always check and countercheck to be informed about what my doctor tells me. Warmest greetings.

Thank you for your advice. I love in Los Angeles. I have to be honest, all this information is overwhelming....but at least now I know where to start. I have been taking vitamins. I'm trying to lose 20lbs to try to get healthier over all, I hear that can help. Plus, my DH smokes. :( He told me that he's finally ready to give it up, which makes me happy and hopeful!

I understand. I have been ttc for 4 years. I have a 25day cycle and I have late ovulation so I'm usually left with a ten day lp. it's SUPER tough to conceive! And I usually feel good about it every month... but af comes regardless... late or early. I just keep trying!! Dot all your Is and cross all your Ts... it'll happen. I know it.... 12 dpo today... and I never make it this far.. so I'm hopeful!

BABYDUST!! your bean will be here soon! :)

Tjackson18, I used to have such a short lp as well. There is a great resource out there: Marilyn Shannon's book Fertility Cycles and Nutrition. It gives wonderful advice on how to lengthen your luteal phase. I highly recommend this resource to you. Best wishes and the Lord 's blessings.

In the beginning, he wasnt upset when AF showed. Granted I have pcos and rarely OV but he was always looking on the positive side. But 2 years and 5 miscarriages later (I'm having one now actually), he does get depressed when AF shows. Men are 2-3 years behind us when it comes to worry over concieving. The longer you are trying, the more supportive they get. But I hope you never have to deal with that and it happens soon
