Hi there. I haven't taken metformin but was reading some scientific articles on something else recently and came across some very positive things about it. I recall the articles were talking about the fact that there are very few negative side effects from metformin and that it had been shown to be very helpful in reducing insulin resistance issues (hence helping in weight reduction and ovulation). What are the side effects you are worried about?

I take Met and I have been taking it for 3 months ,I hope this will help u ..

Make sure u eat with it ,bc in the start it may give u a upset tummy it did me for a couple days .
Try to remember to take it the same time every day. I take mine after breakfast .
Idk what dose u have, doc gave 500mg to take for 6 months to start off with.
The one thing that I have notice with me is sugar when I eat to much sugar make my stomach upset and makes me a little nauseated.1st month made me gases lol
But everyone is different and as long as I watch how much sugar I eat it doesn't bother me at all . Which I've learned That any sugar out of my coffee and cereal to much extra is what gives me upset tummy.
It's not as bad as some say it ,although some people are different and bodies react different.
With in the first month ovulated earlier then normal and it has helped being my cycle closer together and hopefully will help me get my 4th baby soon!
Good luck to u Hun hope u get ur BFP

I've been on Met for a year. I always take it with a meal and have never had troubles. i was scared because I have ibs and was afraid it would make it worse. But it didnt :). Ask your doctor about Extended Release Metformin. You take it in the morning and it slowly releases in your system throughout the day and has less side effects :)
