when I went for the first appointment they got my information and then my dh and I talked to the dr. Then they did a pap and told me to call back on cd1 and had to go back on cd3 for bloodwork and ultrasound. And not having ur period shouldn't change what they do because I was really late when I went to the first visit.

Basically they just talk about your cycle and problems. If your cycle has only just not turned up they will probably suggest a medication to get you ovulating again. You might also need to have your tubes checked and AMH count checked. Then you can talk about if you need clomid or femara, or if going on to IUI or IVF is best

Before I got put on clomid my progesterone was 3 and I still had periods. I didnt ovulate but my womb still got the message due to hormone change to shed its lining hence the period. I was put through all tests 1st to see if anything was blocked, staight of over etc then I was put on clomid for 6 months. They did help me ovulate but didnt get preg so have been given another 6 months but chances are now halfed. I got my bloods taken every 21 days. Its now egg donation and ivf

I have not had a proper period since 2012 after my lasted missed miscarriage. I was on tamoxifen to help with ovulation and to increase my lining however this was unsuccessful after 12 months. I am now on 100mg clomid for the last 3 months. My cycle is relatively short at 27 days and I ovulate on cd 11/12 each month. This is confirmed via US and home ovulation tests. Despite my lining being ok now I still do not bleed and this has doctors a little baffled. Medication can assist with ovulation but as for me it's the getting pregnant and it sticking that's the problem for me.
