Question

Is laser hair removal safe for pregnancy?

I have been getting bikini laser hair removal for the past year and just found out Im pregnant (4 weeks). My sessions are 6 weeks apart and I have not had one since finding out I am pregnant. Is there any danger in the baby's production from laser hair removal I have already had down there? And is it safe to keep going? I have two sessions left (every 6 weeks).
I don't want to ask the technitian yet because we are both business women in the community and I don't want the word out about my pregnancy before I tell my family.

Most laser techs wont do it if ur pregnant or nursing, there arent enough studies done to prove its safety. I would err on the side of caution and stop laser treatments until baby is out...not to mention with the way ur hormones get, the amount of hair/growth may increase or decrease. My growth has slowed right down. I still have a cpl sessions left so Im saving them to see what my body does when its back to a non-pregnant state.

I get laser hair removal and their policy is NO when pregnant. You can while nursing just can't use numbing creams. You could tell the technician because HIPPA protects you from her telling anyone else. Meaning it is against the law for her to tell anyone else. If you are still uncomfortable just make up silly excuses. For example I'm sick...morning sickness!! Don't worry congrats!
