Question

Pleaee explain evap lines to me ?? Confused

I feel like im always asking nieve questions :( but this ones puzzled me.
I figured when the tests say don't read after say 30 minutes this was because any visible line would be evap line. But looking at the gallery ( im seriously addicted to looking through everyones progress) im seeing ladies with a few days of opks showing progress to a positive taped to paper.
Im wanting to do this myself. To see my own progression and to show the oh so hes somewhat involved at this stage. But assumed after the 30 mins the tests are null and void? ?!!
Please ladies help a novice understand *blush*

I'm not 100% sure I am understanding your question, but I will try to answer this :). OPK (ovulation prediction kit) measures the amount of LH hormone in your urine. In short, LH is the hormone that helps you ovulate and once a month you get a LH surge which causes a follicle on your ovary to rupture releasing the egg. So every day you test with the OPK strip for that LH surge. This is why you see the progression pics. The darker it is the more LH you have in your urine. NOW with HPT (home pregnancy tests) there is a time frame in which you have to read the result. After the time is up any line showing up shouldn't be considered a positive and you will need to test again the next day or two. I hope this clears things up :)
