Just had a baby, is it possible i could be pregnant again?
Okay.. before i start let me just say im an adult, i make my own decisions,im not on here to be judged only looking for opinions. so 7 weeks Ago tomorrow i had an amazing little baby boy,Long story short i had sex again,unprotected. im not sure if he finished in me,im a little nervous to ask lol. i havent gotten my period yet since birth, if i just go by my last monthly cycle before i got pregnant i should get it April 4th but theres no way of knowing. Ayways i had sex march 28th, i know you're very fertile after birth, and i know he doesnt have to finish in you to get you pregnant lol, what i want to know is what are my chances, and if i dont get my period on the 6th if i should take a test? but would it be accurate considering we just had sex 2 nights ago, (im a first time mom so im not really sure how all of this works AFTER birth lol) and if it does come up positive could it just be left over hormone from my other pregnancy? (i heard its usually all gone by 3-4 weeks),thanks girls!

That's a tricky question. You have hormones in you after birth but they start to subside pretty quick after birth. Plus you have had no period yet. & weeks after birth is possible....but I think tooo soon to conceive..,but who knows? I am not sure how you don't know if he "came " inside of you...but f you don't know. I would ask to see..afterall you have a right to know. I wouldn't sweat it yet but if you that concerned Id wait a few weeks and tests or call your dr and ask what the possibilities are

U wont ovulate until ur hCG levels drop to below 5miu. If u had sex March 28th, yes u do have the potential to get pregnant again, depending on when/if u ovulate. The tests will not give u an answer right now, its wayyy too soon, so save some money cuz it wont be accurate for this babydance. If the tests come up positive, and u are positive that March 28th was the ONLY day that u wouldve came in contact with sperm, then those tests would be showing leftover hormone from ur previous pregnancy. Wait 2 wks then test. Maybe even try one in the morning so u have an answer to base ur test in 2 wks off of.

I'm not sure if you want to be pregnant again or not, but if it's only been 2 days, you are still within the window to take Plan B. My DH and I BD about 4 weeks after my DD's birth and were afraid I might have been ovulating already so I went ahead and took Plan B as I was not ready to be pregnant again yet (she's 19 months now and I am pregnant again).
It's entirely possible to ovulate within 7 weeks and it can take awhile for cycles to return. It depends on a number of factors (especially if you are breastfeeding). I just wanted to point out that option is still available to you if you were looking for it. GL!
