It takes a while to feel anything, lods of people mistake gas for a baby and visa versa! At my 8 week scan I could see my 'baby' developing but could not feel it. However lots of ladies feel pressure in their abdomen during their two week wait. Further into the pregnancy the midewife will actually get you to count movements

You typically don't feel fetal movement until the 4th or 5th month of pregnancy. When you do first feel those first flutters, they are lower than where your stomach would be. For most of the first trimester, your uterus is still tucked under your pelvic bone.
