Question

When should i take a hpt?

my last period started on 2/24/14 and ended on 3/2/14. When should i take a home pregnancy test to get an accurate result? i took one today (3/26/14) and it came out negative-but it was the cheap dollar general brand. That may have something to do with it

When did you ovulate? Or when do you think you ovulated? Do you have regular or irregular cycles? Assuming you have a fairly normal/regular cycle, you probably ovulated about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks ago. Most women would have gotten a + pregnancy test at this point if they were indeed pregnant. Cheap dollar store tests work just fine. See the HPT gallery for proof of that. lol. All I can say is test again in a couple days and if it's still negative, you could call the doctor to have them draw blood to be completely sure.

I have regular cycles and I ovulated on the 12th. I took another test today and had a VERY VERY faint positive line. I'm going to try again first thing in the morning and if I get another positive I'll make a drs appointment.
