Question

Can BV cause miscarriage?

DF and I only had sex twice this month. Much to my dismay, I realized I had a vaginal infection. I went to the doctor, and discovered that I did in fact have bacterial vaginosis. I've had it before, and no big deal, but i was super frustrated at the time because I knew it would effect our baby making attempts. I took a test on Sunday, and it was POSITIVE! I am SUPER worried it won't stick and I will miscarry because of this infection. Does anyone have experience or knowledge about this subject? I have tried to research it and can't find much. I am super worried and stressed. I have been having light cramps, and it jut makes me more worried. Help!

If you got a positive then you are pregnant. BV wont cause you to miscarry. If you got it taken care of and cleared up there wont be any ill effects on the fetus. Untreated will progress the bacteria though and could cause ill effects. Congrats! Dont stress as that is just as harmful to your baby. Enjoy it as cramps are completely normal. :)

Make sure you got to your doctor about the infection, someone else on here asked about it and eating probiotic yoghurt or taking probioitcs might help
