Yeah that is a large fluctuation. Since you say this is your first time temping I just want to check in and make sure you are taking your temperature at the same time everything morning (within 5 mins). And also that you have had at least 3-4 of sleep before taking the temp? And lastly that you have taken your temperature as soon as you wake up before talking or getting out of bed? If yes to all of these, then I have a few more questions, have you been sick lately or is there any chance you were running a fever any of these days? Also, any chance you are breathing out of your mouth while sleeping? This can affect your temps quite a bit. Personally I find temping vaginally to be more consistent than orally and this may be something you wish to consider starting next cycle (if there is one).

Thank you, I have been taking my temps as soon as the alarm goes off, before talking etc. I haven't been ill but my husband says i do snore :( so maybe having my mouth open is the problem? I got my lh surge yesterday and my temp is lower today? so should I see a rise in the next fews days if I do ovulate? this is all so confusing lol. Have bd at the right times and will continue for the next couple of days just to be safe. Thanks again for the input. x
