Question

Checking cervix after a vaginal birth 8 years ago

I am having a hard time telling when my cervix is open compared to medium or closed. It always feels the same, kind of oval shaped. The days I believed I was ovulating it was too high and I couldn't even reach it! I do have one child, a vaginal birth 8 years ago.

I had a vaginal birth 2 and half years ago and I can tell the difference between open and closed. But when you have a vaginal birth the cervix kind doesn't close all the way back to where it was before. It will take a few months to get used to knowing when you are open and when you are closed. When it's too high to feel it's a good indicator that your ovulating so bd those days. Hope this helps some! GL!

Check out the Beautiful Cervix project if you haven't already.

5 years TTC. Endometriosis and adenomyosis. Surgery. 2 IVFs. No joy. Low ovarian reserve. Is there any real hope? DE IVF = next step. Much higher success rates, but so used to things not working, it's hard to feel too hopeful. Wishing others an easier time.
