I started when I was still ttc...I just bought mostly basic stuff that was gender neutral, but Im almost 21wks now and all I really have left to buy is a crib mattress. I havent bought a single thing at full price becuz I shopped so early, Ive saved over $1000 doing this. Start now, nothing wrong with being prepared!!

We didn't start until my morning sickness had passed at 20 weeks. We did register before then but had a mc before and didn't want a bunch of baby stuff in the house to stare at if it happened again. Buying everything on sale is an awesome idea!

I have had a few miscarriages and when I got pregnant with my last one after 8 years of trying I rushed out being excited and bought almost everything! The same night I went to put crib I started to miscarry...I was devastated...I was about 4 months, at first some brown blood, so I thought maybe old blood? or maybe I had been up walking around or doing too much, but brown blood turned to red blood then the clotting came and everything else etc over a period of two weeks. I was heartbroken , miserable, and then I had all this new baby stuff staring me in the face....it was a constant reminder. I was too heartbroke to put it away and take stuff down for months, but then I had to so I could heal just a little. M advice would be to wait on any major purchases until after your first trimester.
