I have a friend that got pregnant and Plan B didn't work. She was a victim of a date rape, and she took Plan B the next day. Turns out that Plan B will prevent lingering sperm from fertilizing if the egg hasn't dropped yet, but if fertilization happens instantly (or before Plan B was taken), it won't prevent fertilization from happening.

My friend discovered she was pregnant and decided that the baby was "supposed to be here" so she didn't take further action. She married a wonderful man recently who has adopted her son.

Hi there, I have heard of Plan B failing but never had it happen personaly, I have on the other hand had birth control fail me when my daughter (third child) was only 6 months old so I can kind of relate. I chose to keep the pregnancy and am now 20 weeks pregnant. I think maybe take another test if your period is late and if you do get a + have a talk with your partner about what the best options for you. Good luck and I hop you get the result you are after.
