HCG level only 8? MC??

Had blood work done at the ER (went out there for UTI. & of course before they'd prescribe me meds they had to check to see if I was pregnant and all that since I had a positive HPT), and they did say I was preggo, but my HcG levels we're only 8 and that it could go either way but it's really early and this is normal... Please help I don't wanna lose this baby :(
they said since the HCG is only 8 it's likely it has dropped since we got a positive and now the urine test are negative & I only have a level of 8... I am so sad :(
