Question

Vitamins to helps a healthy pregnancy?

I am on a multivit right now. Its not for pregnancy as I took those with my pregnancy in December (I lost it..) & they absolutely tore my belly up and hurt it and those were supposed to be the most gentle kind out there.. I am taking a woman Multivitamin that contains a lot of folic acid.... Any vitamins that aren't prenatal that'll help me have a healthy full term pregnancy this time? Thanks ladies <3

I would talk to a dr or pharmacist. Multivitamins do not contain the recommended amts of folic acid for trying to conceive & pregnancy. Prenatals also contain higher levels of iron & other essential minerals for a healthy pregnancy. I'm sure either a dr or pharmacist could recommend a gentle brand of prenatals or either advise you on how to supplement your current vitamin.

The minimum requirement for folic acid when TTC/early pregnancy is 800 mcg. I'm on prescription & they contain 1000.
