14dpo is a few days closer to ur period. If ur accurately tracking ur O date, af shouldnt arrive much past 16dpo as the corpus luteum (follicle leftover after the egg is released) can only sustain itself for 16 days without a pregnancy or hormone supplementation.
Also, no one will get a true BFP at 6dpo, if they do then they are off on their O date. Certain things happen with the egg once it fertilizes and these processes take 5-6 days to complete (google embryology & mitosis), then the egg would need to implant and build high enough levels of hCG to filter through ur kidneys and in to urine...definitely not happening as quickly as some women claim. All of this is backed up with studies from the nih so I would recommend doing ur research before absorbing inaccurate info that will benefit u in no way.
Best of luck to u both! =))

Dakota is correct. If you have a 37 day cycle, you are not going to O on day 13-14. The corpus luteum breaks down about 16-17 days after you ovulate (if you're not preg) & you get your period. If you truly have a 37 day cycle, you ovulate around day 23 (approx). As far as testing, you're not going to get a + at 6 dpo. About the earliest you can expect a + is at 9 dpo, with most women not testing pos until at least 11/12. Good luck to you!

Im gonna suggest u consider temping, to confirm when/if O has happened. Unfortunately a positive opk only tells u that u will attempt to ovulate, taking daily temps will confirm if it happened or not. U may be missing ur ovulation by a week or more, esp if ur cycles are consistently 37 days. Temping is really easy and as long as ur consistent, u can benefit quite a bit and hopefully get to ur goal much faster!
