I know lots of ppl who have taken category c prescriptions and had a healthy pregnancy and child. But I also know some other women that have taken meds and had complications. It's NOT recommended obviously bc you don't want to take the chance but it has been done lots of times. I used to be on a ton of medications so when I decided to start trying I cut all my medications out. I'm sooooooo happy that I did!!! During pregnancy we tend to over think and stress about everything baby related, the last thing we need is more stress and more concerns due to take medications. Not only is it safest for your unborn child and yourself but I also felt MUCH better not taking all those meds. Good luck!!

It would depend which drugs ur talking about, some drugs are safer than others. My OB has me on Tylenol #3 for migraines, which is a C, becuz my normal pain meds that are also a C, arent safe. As long as ur OB knows ur taking them, dont worry too much about it, trust him/her to do their job. U can also double check with ur pharmacist, they have extensive drug knowledge.
Ive been on the same drugs for both pregnancies and baby #1 came out fine...still waiting for this one to finish growing but all is well thus far.
Good luck! =))
