am i miscarrying? bleeding.
i didnt know i was pregnant, i started my "period" jan 2 as normal, i kept bleeding and had some clots jan 11, my friend told me to take a test, sure enough, POS! also took a clear blue (pos 2-3 weeks) monday had dr appt urine test pos. blood test pos hcg level was179.. leaving dr TUESDAY got rear ended, and went back to the ER.. my hcg level went from 179 to 106.. then also found out im O- so had to get RHOgam shot.. i didnt eat at all that day, bc the wreck then was sent to ER... could my levels have been low bc of not eating and stress from wreck? keep in mind ive been bleeding since jan 2.. dr said its norm al... dont seem normal to me, has anyone bled during their pregnancy? anyone had hcg level drop but didnt miscarry? im worried!! this is my first pregnancy.

Hi, I'm really sorry to hear the trauma you have been through. Unfortunately if your levels have dropped it possibly indicates you are miscarrying. I was 7 weeks when I miscarried, had bloods taken 48 hours apart and like yours had dropped significantly. Wish I could tell you something more positive. GL x

Definitely sound like you are miscarrying :( With the bleeding I think the doctor meant that the bleeding was "common" not "normal". That's what they said at the hospital when I started spotting before my miscarriage. They said bleeding in pregnancy is NEVER normal, but it does often happen. They called it a "threatened miscarriage" because of it. Apparently according to research stats about 17% of those with bleeding in early pregnancy go on to miscarry, so many many women with bleeding continue on with the pregnancy.

Sounds like a possible miscarriage. I am also O- I hate those rhogam shots...
Your hormone levels are pretty low, 2-3 weeks on the weeks estimator is actually 5w gestation and my levels were at 3535 at 5w3d. Also -hormone levels are not affected by eating habits they are what they are regardless.
Just remember you can try again if you want! So sorry for your loss :(
