HPT getting darker after possible Miscarriage?
Last week at 4 week one day after spotting and small clots on day of expected period OB order a Beta HCG test. It came back at 131.7 he ordered a second one that I took about 44 hours later that came back at either 205 or 230. Due to the fact that it hadn't doubled he (OB) told me that he suspects that I may be having a miscarriage. Yesterday at 5 weeks I took another Home pregnancy test and the test line was just ask dark as the control line. Much darker than any test I took last week. If I am having a miscarriage is this likely to happen? Is it possible I could be having a healthy Pregnancy? Also, I have had no bleeding since that one day last week, and it hardly reached the pad.

I'm not a doctor so I can't answer. But I've read plenty of reports from women on the internet that had perfect babies and in the beginning numbers weren't doubling fast enough. This is probably rare? But possible? I would call your doctor. Today. For a lot of reasons. 1) to stop stressing out, 2) what if this is ectopic (which progresses more slowly, but does grow) - which is nothing to fool with and if you've never had one, it wouldn't be flagged for you and 3) maybe it's healthy and he can confirm.

Yes, I agree, go get checked for ectopic!! If you have one it could harm your Fallopian tubes and make it harder to conceive in the future if this is not a healthy pregnancy. There is always hope though, I think if you had a miscarriage there would be a lot more blood than just one day!!
