Ovulation and sex timing.....???

I believe I ovulated late on the 10th on January. What are my chnaces of getting pregnant if I had sex on that day? Can't find the answer online anywhere and may just be being a bit dumb! Thankyou xx

Chances of conceiving on the day of ovulation are slim. The egg can only live for 12 to 24 hours and it could take the sperm several hours to reach the egg (some sites say up to 24 hours). Sperm can live for several days in the right environment, so if you want to conceive have sex alternating days leading up to ovulation. This way the sperm is already there waiting for the egg.
