The dark estrogen line is actually low estrogen...it lightens as u get closer to a surge. That test reads two hormones so u may be getting flashing smileys becuz of what the lh line is doing, not the estrogen.

Thank you datotagurrl, that is a big weight off my shoulders. I think maybe last month was a chem so that is probably throwing the lh off.

Thats a possibility. LH and hCG are almost identical, so if u have hCG in ur system, an opk can pick it up. Ur tests sound normal tho so I wouldnt worry too much at this point. =))
I have some posted if u want an idea of how they change on various cycles medicated and not. Of course urs will differ but its something to compare to.
