Experiences with HCG from people who have actually USED IT!
I do HCG shots, but not the trigger shots of 10,000--just 2000 a few times. I've been doing them for months (7) and never have had side effects until the last 2 (and last cycle was a mc, so I was indeed pregnant).
Honestly, I am just so SICK of reading condescending posts from ppl who have never used it tell you well it IS the pregnancy hormone, so what do you expect? Both the center that prescribes it and the mnfctr claim that it doesn't have any side effects other than headaches and OHSS. I find that implausible (even tho I have lived it for 5 of my 7 cycles) but they claim it is the way HCG rises so quickly that causes the side effects because your body can never adapt and that is why you get sick/side effects.
It is difficult for women not to get their hopes up when these effects are present. I know it is for me- 5 perfect cycles followed by a mc with every side effect imaginable, and now another-leaves you scratching your head "am i?' or not?

I have only used ovidril as a trigger shot and not as a maintenance regiment as you have. I have used it four times in the past 5 months and my symptoms have varied after taking it. I have experienced the headaches and they generally come on in the evenings and hit hard and sudden. I get very irritable and have trouble sleeping. I get bloated and gassy. The symptoms usually fade by the third or fourth day and then I am just dealing with the progesterone side-affects.
