Bleeding Brown For 2 weeks after period???

I am really confused right now, I started bleeding on July 2nd which was only brown spotting, I had that pretty much the whole time i was bleeding which normally my periods are pretty heavy and dark red in color, i stopped bleeding on July 10th, Which i applied my BC patch my husband and i figured we would wait a little longer ttc. This was the first time i put the patch back on since May 25th. After i put my patch back on 2 days later i started feeling really nausous so i took it off then a couple days later i started bleeding the brown blood again and it's still not heavy so i called my dr and he advised me to put the patch back on and that would stop the bleeding it's July 19th now and im still spotting brown i haven't taken anymore pregnancy tests. I took 2 before which came out negitive, took them 2 and 3 days after spotting brown. Does anyone have a clue what this could be?? Is it possible to be pregnant or have i just messed my body up??
