Question

New to BBT Charting and need help

Can someone get me started on charting BBT? How it works and what to look for basically. I am on CD 5 and started charting yesterday.

Take your temp the same way every morning at the same time (or as close as you can get to it) before you get out of bed. Then chart those temps (and the times they were recorded).

After ovulation your temps should rise and stay warmer until AF time. Some women see a gradual rise some see a cliff. And again, some women will see a gradual decline just before or just after AF, but some will see a cliff.

Mostly women use temping along with OPKs to better pinpoint their ovulation day. Sometimes we use it to obsess about temps drops near when implantation would be though too.

If you click on ladies names you can see their BBT charts (if they've enabled sharing) just to get an idea of what real charts look like. Mine are not to most stable charts, but you can see the general trend of lower before ov and higher after ov.
