Question

Ovulation question

I am new to TTC I have not yet started recording my temp or doing ovulation tests. I have read that usually you ovulate 14 days prior to the start of your next period. Well I tend to have a 31-33 day cycle and I have noticed I consistently have EWCM on 14-15 CD. So then my luteal (?) phase is then 17-19 days or so long. So I am wondering is that normal or am I likely ovulating 3 days later than I think I am?

I usually have EWCM and ovulation pains for at least two days before I actually ovulate. Once the egg drops I seem to have considerable less mucus. I'd say you are probably dropping an egg on the last day of having the EWCM. They sell a relatively cheap "kit" of ovulation tests at Walmart.. I think it comes with about 12 strips. Just start testing from CD12-20. Around the day you think you are O'ing maybe test once in the morning and once at night.. some women seem to just have a surge within a few hours or so and can miss it. Best of luck to you =)
