Could it be?

Ok, so I've lost two pregnancies in 6 months and I'm afraid to test. I'm 18dpo and have tender nipples, gas, amd cramping like af. Today is the day my period should've started. I know if I test it should show up. But with both pregnancies it tooks 2-3 days after day of AF and then once I got the positive I started bleeding 2-3 days later. I plan to test tonight but I wondered if anyone has had this experience.
