A lot about how unlikely it is for me to be pregnant & then I continued my research and found out so many people have gotten pregnant directly after their period ended my period usually only lasts about 2 -3 days

It completely depends on when you ovulate. Some people have found they can ovulate as early as 7 days into their cycle. Therefore if they had sex on cycle day four that would be a highly fertile time for them. If you ovulate much later then it is unlikely for you to get pregnant as the sperm can only survive inside you for up to 7 days. so as long as you ovulate after CD10-11 then you won't be able to get pregnant. Have you had any signs of ovulation? (watery or egg-white cervical mucus, ovulation pain)

It depends on when you ovulate. How long are your cycles? Those with shorter cycles (less than 28 days) often ovulate sooner. I find that I ovulate between CD10-12 so I possibly could get pregnant on my period, I have 25-27 day cycles- good thing I used BC properly when I was younger:) If you have a normal length or longer cycle the chances are slim. You are considered fertile 5 days before you ovulate and the day of, but the 3 days before ovulation are the most fertile. Without fertile fluid sperm will die in a few hours, but in fertile fluid (watery or egg-white) they can live up to 5 days, though 2-3 is more likely.
