Question

Low but doubling beta HCG, nothing on internal US yet

My last period was 2nd October, which would make me 6 weeks by LMP. I had sex on the 16th October. It is now the 16th November, exactly one month later.

I've been having bloodwork done due to heavy bleeding for one day last week and my HCG is rising, not quite doubling every 48 hours but not too far off it, but my HCG is still quite low, it was at 340 two days ago.

Had a scan while bleeding and the doctor could see a thick uterus lining but no sac, and nothing in the tubes either. This scan was done at 5w6d LMP.

I'm thinking maybe I was a late implanter? My first blood test was 7 days ago and the result for HCG was 96. So although it was low to begin with it has been doubling?

I don't know what to think. I hate this waiting game.

That is low for 6 weeks pregnant. There is no way they would be able to see anything with that. They told me at the hospital they wait until HCG is over 2000 before doing a scan as you can't see anything otherwise. Did you have sex at a later time and could possibly have ovulated late? I had a miscarriage earlier this year at 10 weeks. It was devastating.
