Question

2nd month TTC, Need some simply help on a few questions!

This will be our 2nd month TTC, I'm trying to better pinpoint my O and sorts but I don't really want to get all caught up in tracking it, I want this to be fun for DH and I not a stressful task. However I have a few questions, they may be silly! But when Im trying to see how long my AF cycle actually is do I countthe first day when I start spotting or when my flow really starts to come in, and when would the last day be? Also I believe my full cycle is about 29 days, does this start on the day I started spotting or actual flow to my next actual flow? Thanks so much for anyone with advice, I just know the next few months will be hard (I work graveyard and dh works days/evenings and wanna slim down the time frame! Thanks! :]

Cycle day 1 is the day u have flow, not spotting. Then the cycle ends the day before ur next flow of af. Ex. if u get spotting Nov 1st, flow Nov 2nd then spotting again Nov 29th and flow Nov 30th, ur cycle is from Nov 2nd to Nov 29th, or 28 days long, and the new cycles starts Nov 30th.

Hmm.. not sure on the spotting portion, but I'd personally probably start my cycle counting on that day.

To calculate menstrual cycle length, you count the number of days from day one of your period (CD 1) up to, and including, the day before the next period starts. The count does not include the first day of the next menstrual period, because that's Cycle Day 1 of the next cycle.

EXAMPLE: Period starts June 3rd, and lasts for 5 days. The next period starts June 27. GOOD LUCK!

start counting from when you first see blood. I HIGHLY recommend you get a ovulation predictor kit and start peeing on them twice a day starting from day 10. I was shocked to discover I ovulate on day 19 of my 29 day cycle. You may think you know when you ovulate, but until you get a LH surge you cannot be certain. Knowing which day I ovulate made it much easier ( and ironically less stressful ) for my hubby and I to plan when to baby dance and also when to start counting days past ovulation.

Haha I didn't finish my thought ;)

EXAMPLE: Period starts June 3rd, and lasts for 5 days. The next period starts June 27.

MENSTRUAL CYCLE LENGTH CALCULATION:
Count the number of days from June 3rd to June 26th. The counting includes June 3rd (CD 1), and also includes June 26th.

The start day of the next period, June 27, is not included as it starts the new cycle.

Your cycle day 1 starts the first day of actual flow and the last day of your cycle is the day before your flow. Hope this helps!

Thank you for all the information ladies! I actually started af October 30th(the floe not spotting) and its already almost done which is super weird, very short and light this month. I know this is prolly a TMI but my first 2 days of my AF is heavy I go through almost 8-9 supers a day and I've maybe gone through 6 total since it started and its already almost done so idk what is going on. My last cycle was started September 30th and ended October 3rd so I have a 30 day cycle I guess. gah this is to much, why can't I be like those girls who don't want it and do all the wrong things and boom pregnant! just kidding hopefully this cycle is more positive!
