Why use Blue Dye Tests?

I don't get it, they have a bad rep for evap lines, so why do people use them?

Becuz everyone thinks its gonna be different for them. Theyre usually cheaper as well.

I used them in 2004 and 2009 and knew nothing about evap lines or pink dyes recently when I bought them this time. After faint faint positives (dr. appt tomorrow) and lots of research now I know why people don't use them!
