Question

Gluten intolerance and TTC

I just fond out that I have celiac disease which was causing me to have incredibly long cycles and decreasing my over all fertility.

Has anyone else felt with this before. And if so, how long after starting a gluten free diet did you become pregnant? Or at least when did your cycle return to normal?

Thank you so much. :D

I don't have any experience with this myself, but a former colleague who was diagnosed with this were told by her doctor that he'd seen a lot of CD women getting pregnant soon after changing their diet. However, an older article in Celiac Central claims most doctors recommend 6-24 months on a proper diet before TTC: http://www.celiaccentral.org/research-news/Celiac-Disease-Research/134/vobid--2030/ You might want to check with your doctor what s/he recommends for you?
