Question

+opk but no temp surge?

I was using the first response digital opk kit with 30 strips for the first time this cycle which started Sep 29. On cd13 (Friday) I got a + result which, according to the kit, meant that I would ovulate and should plan to have sex within the next 24-36 hrs. I've also been taking my temp and have not seen a surge in temp although it's been more than 48 hrs since the +. On cd12 my temp was 97.2 which jumped to 97.5 on cd13 and has stayed there. Is there something wrong? The opk kit is designed to no longer work once the + result is achieved.

Its possible to ovulate a little more than 48 hours after ur first positive. If ur first positive was Friday, today is 48 hours later, so if u ovulated today, u wouldn't see a temp rise until tomorrow morning. I'd bd today just to be sure.

Brandy's absolutely right. Give it another day or two with the temps. Sometimes the hormone takes a bit to build up, so u may not see a rise til 2 days after u O, depending when u O. Ive had O's happen later in the night, but becuz of the time it happened, there wasnt enough hormone built up to move my temp the next am, so I didnt see a shift til the following day. Give it time, and keep bd'ing til that shift happens. Good luck! =))
