I had a lap butt hey didn't do an ultrasound before. I was on lupron for about 4 months for endo and stopped that a few months before my surgery. I ended up having a huge cyst drained. They said the endo was not visible due to the. Lupron. I was always told they can't see endo unless they do surgery. But if they think you could have a cyst that will show on the ultrasound

Hello i have pcos and have had a scan before a lap it was to look at my oviarys before deciding where a lap was nessesary it should be fine the found a ruptured cyst when doing the scan so they knew excatly what to do the scan is just to make sure you get the correct and appropreate care hope this helps all the best xx

I have had U/s before to try to work out if I have endo. (7 years ago) External and internal u/s. They couldn't see anything unusual, but that didn't mean I was clear. I think it helps to rule out cancer - possibly. Also, an experienced practitioner can tell if your organs are in an odd position, meaning they may be stuck due to endo adhesions. I think that surgery carries a small risk and the risk is minimised if they can check what your anatomy is like, so they can go exploring in the right places. I expect I will have a repeat u/s and lap very soon myself as part of infertility investigations. Hope it goes well and you get the answers you need. x
