I have done clomid with IUI before. Even though you have no fertility issues, the clomid will help give a better idea of when you will ovulate, and possibly give you more (and more mature) follicles to work with for better chances at catching one with the IUI. Since he has low motility, your doctor probably just wants to give you the best chance at it being successful. Good luck and hope you get your BFP!!

Same thing Sheaby said.....I will be starting IUI's in December (assuming I'm not pregnant by then). Our only issues are low sperm count. The Chlomid just helps increase your chances of a successful IUI! Best of luck!!
