I'm 38 and I just found out that #3 is on the way! I wouldn't trade it for anything! We conceived during the first cycle of trying!! (So that isn't necessarily an issue) life is full of risks.... you just have to decide which ones are worth taking for your family. :-) I may be 38 but My body feels young! Good luck in making your decision!!

I'm 36 & pregnant with my second. Conceived on our 2nd cycle of trying. They did send me to a genetic counselor since I am advanced maternal age (I hate that term!) & I had the Harmony test. This is a blood test that pulls fetal DNA out of my blood to test for Downs, trisomy 13/18. Almost as accurate as an amnio but noninvasive! I'm having a healthy baby girl! Life is a gamble no matter your age.

Hi there I'm 38 and have been trying for #3 havnt had any success yet we gave been trying for a year and a half now and I do sometimes wonder if it's my age stopping me, we are currently seeing our doctor and getting my bloods done and hubbies little friends checked aswell but gotta wait 2 weeks for results, I've also had 2 miscarriages since we have been trying so that makes me even scared, but I'm trying to keep positive but sometimes it gets hard for me xx

I am 39 and have been trying for around 3 years. We've done the fertility thing and so far nothing. But I refuse to give up hope. I have such a strong desire for #3 (my other 2 are teenagers now) that I just have faith that it will happen and so I stay hopeful and positive.

I am 36 and pregnant with number two. We tried for almost two years, everything was normal with me and my husband, but in spite of this, I couldn't get pregnant. When it finally happened, I couldn't believe my eyes, I was very sad for not happening (with my daughter, five years ago, it happened immediately, so you can imagine my desperation.)

Thanks Ladies!! I'm currently waiting, not patiently, to test. It's the first time we have tried since my daughter, who is 18 months. I think I could go crazy!!

It's nice to know that I'm not the only old person trying lol, I'm bit calling you lit old just me I'm feeling past it at the mo, sometimes I just keep knocking myself diwn thinking will it ever happen and sometimes I just wanna give up. I would of been due to have the 2nd baby that I miscarried and I guess that's playing on my mind at the mo , just can't help it xx
