Ultrasound- 5 wks shows only a gestational sac with a spec inside. Is this bad or just too early?
Hi there- I found out I was pregnant after I had a miscarraige and d & c on July 26th. According to my charting I would be about 5 weeks or 5 weeks 2 days. I went to have a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday and all that was found was a gestational sac measuring .95 cm and a white dot that the tech thought could be the beginnings of a yolk sac. Obviously I am going in for another scan next week but am completely freaking out that this is not normal. Does anyone have any advice or experiences similar? Any advice or good outcomes would be much appreciated!

Hi I also went at 5 1/2 weeks and I had a yolk sac with a tiny little spec. My doctor said that spec is where the baby will form off of. She seemed completly confident in what she saw and told me everything looked good but it was to early to tell much of anything just yet. Good luck to you !!!
