Hi ok so srry if this is sort of graphic but if you can reach the tip easily its low and if its hard to reach its high. usually when mine is high it is king of firm and closed and when its low its softer and open meaning I can almost fit my finger tip jst inside the opening . they say when its low and open during ovulation it is easier access for the sperm also may notice stretchy cm that helps the sperm get to the egg easier and stay alive longer kind of like a slip n slide for them haha srry hope that helps!

I guess mine is closed considering I'm 5dpo mine feels high I guess. But on 3dpo I had alot of creamy lotion cm and it wasn't ovulation or infection. It's just different for me because I never experience the creamy cm I always experience the wet cm I hope it's a good sign fx for all of us:)

My understanding is that when your cervix is high, soft and open, that is a possible sign of ovulation. When your cervix is firm, it will feel somewhat like the tip of your nose (in hardness). When it is soft, it will feel more like your lips. I think if you check your cervix almost every day for a cycle, you will get the hang of it. It's hard to know right off the bat, because if you've never checked your cervix, then you have nothing to compare what it feels like to. Good luck!

I was gonna explain this lastnight but I was on my celly and thats a lot to type on a touch screen. This will vary slightly with everyone and finger length. Middle finger, all the way to last knuckle or higher is a high cervix, the to middle knuckle is medium and not quite the last knuckle is low. A high cervix, u should be able to feel the texture and opening but not completely around the entire cervix, a medium one u can sweep around the entire cervix and low u can sweep around it and go past it to pretty much nowhere.
Texture, a hard cervix is like pressing on ur the tip of ur nose, a soft cervix is like pressing on ur lips, medium is in between, its a bit harder to gauge but u'll get it.
Opening, if u've delivered vaginally then ur cervix will feel like a slit, no vag delivery will feel like a dimple. Closed is very obvious, its a very tight slit/dimple, medium feels slightly looser. Not quite open but def not Fort Knox. Open, u can pop the tip of ur finger in...dont!

Its something u get used to over time, but u should be a pro in less than a month. Check ur cervix several times a day until u get used to what's what...it really doesnt take long! To get a visual idea of what ur feeling, try www.beautifulcervix.com. There are a plethora of cervix pics of all stages in a cycle, ttc, pregnant, abortion, u name it. Its very graphic, so not for the squeamish, but its a really great guide to help u understand what ur feeling.

Sorry it was so long, hope it helped! Good luck!! =))

I have a hard time going by touch. I found that using a speculum and a light is the best way for me to know. I was able to time my home insem when I was open and was able to watch it lower and close after O.
