I took 3 preg test same box. 2 visible faint pos 1 neg. How likely is it test were defective?
I took a test early morning. Faint but clearly visible line. Took another, same thing. Faint but clearly visible. In shock took the third later in the day but clearly negative. How likely is it that the tests were defective. So confused now. I will make a dr appt to confirm but just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen. My first day of last menses was July 21st. Not sure if I ovulated because I did not keep track this month.

How long had you held your urine in when you tested with the last stick? It could be that you're urine wasn't concentrated enough to pick up the positive on the third stick. You might want to try another brand or test again in a day or two just to be sure. I seriously doubt its defective. If its positive its rare for it to be a false positive. Most likely its really early and the tests are having a hard time picking up the pregnancy hormone or you may be having a chemical pregnancy. But at the point I suspect its more than likely just really early on and its having a hard time picking up the hormone just yet.
