Question

cervix questions, help with checking cervix "openness"?

I only just realized what the heck my cervix is, I actually felt it before and was like omg I have a tumor! lol, nope just a cervix. so I know where it is and I know how to check whether its firm or soft, but the whole "openness" is foreign to me. It just feels like a ball to me, I don't feel anything like a hole that could be open or closed. is there a chance it could be perhaps tilted? any other explanations of what exactly to feel for are welcomed please

U have no children so ur cervix would feel like a knob with a dimple in the middle, someone who has had a vag birth or mc (not a chemical) would have a slit. It takes a bit of practice and checking several times a day to see the variance in openings becuz they switch pretty quick. Open is very obvious, u can pretty much pop the end of ur finger in (dont do that tho), cant miss it. Partially open would be a slight opening, u can feel its open but u cant get ur finger tip in, and closed would feel like a dimple. U should be able to still feel the cervix opening if its tilted, its not as easy but can be done. Make sense? Its hard to explain, its something u more or less have to feel for. If u check out beautifulcervix.com, they have a photo gallery with pics of cervixes at different points in a cycle, looking at that and checking ur own will help u understand what ur feeling. Some are bloody and graphic, so ur aware. Hope that helps! =))

that's very helpful, especially that website with the photos. I feel like my cervix isn't positioned the same as those photos. I just ordered one of their kits on amazon to see for myself, that'll tell me what i'm feeling up there
