Question

How do I tell my reluctant boyfriend I'm pregnant?

I've been with my boyfriend for just over a year. He is 30 and I am 28. I know him well and know he will have trouble seeing the blessing in this and will only be able to focus on the 'logistics' (mainly the money). This is a weird question but should I tell him tonight or wait until after the weekend. For my own sake I want to tell him to get it off my chest but for his sake I want him to have a good weekend and be carefree for one more weekend! I'm torn :( I know the dynamics will dramatically change once I tell him and I'm sitting on this secret feeling like I'm holding my breath. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We live each other very much and I want to be as delicate as possible. Thanks in advance!!

I don't think it matters when u tell him..but if he reacts badly...pls try and not get too upset...once you have your baby you will realise that there is no love like the love for a child...CONGRATULATIONS..you are blessed and I wish you a really safe pregnancy :))

Do a baby price calculator that you can find on google and show him that you can do this. And I know for me holding it in will suck and it will constantly be on your mind

Did you tell him? How did it go?

Congrats!! Was he afraid or reluctant? ...try to inform him and bring him in on it as much as possible. Make him a part of it and he will be excited too. If not, then perhaps counseling would help? Children are a massive undertaking - but the rewards are endless :)

He was fine and then he freaked out and now he's fine again :) It's funny because once he was clearly ok with everything I started to freak out a little. I had spent so much time worrying about how he'd react that I didn't really stop and think about how I felt! Of course I'm over the moon excited but all the realities are sinking in but I know it will all be totally worth it! It's that weird time in pregnancy when very few people know, I don't feel that different, I look the same but everything has changed!! I look forward to getting to the second trimester but am trying to stay present and enjoy each day for what it is!! Thanks for everyone's advice!!
