Question

Feeling discouraged. How long did it take you to conceive?

I am in my mid twenties and I thought having a baby would be no problem. After three months with no success... I am already feeling discouraged. How long did it take you? Things to help boost fertility?

Do you have a normal cycle? And have you been using anything to check when you ovulate? I would suggest using opks if you haven't yet. I felt the same way as you, I was on my fifth month trying and thinking I shouldn't have any problem getting pregnant and why it was taking so long but I ended up getting my bfp and now realize five months isn't much. At that time it seemed forever so I know how you are feeling. Pinpoint when you ovulate, you can temp to make sure of the right date, take prenatal pills and try the every other day method of bding. Good luck to you!

My cycles are pretty dead on. They are usually about 30 days.. and I always ovulate on time. I use OPKs. This month I used digital OPKs... and got my smiley... This is the first month we used the SMEP. Plan on using the same plan next month. It's been a little over a year since my last check up with the doctor so I am planning on going to the doctor to make sure everything is still ok. Thanks for the positive advice, btw, how old are you if you don't mind me asking?

I recently turned 30 and this will be my first child. I did notice once I started temping that when I thought I was ovulating wasn't correct. I would get the ov pains and the ewcm but it wasn't until two days later that I actually ovulated. Temping helps...

Hi! I am 25, about to be 26 in a couple months. I am on my third cycle trying and waiting to see if I'll get a BFP this time. But I know how you feel. I have had several friends who have just accidentally gotten pregnant or were TTC and it just happened on the first cycle. So it is a little discouraging when you hear those stories and it's not happening for you. Even though we have both been trying for 3 months it's hard to not be concerned that there is SOMETHING wrong. I feel like we women always fear the worst sometimes. But the truth of the matter is that it really can take anywhere from 6 months to a year for a couple with NO fertility issues. So stay hopeful! I have decided every cycle if i'm not pregnant i'm going to try and ADD another fertility aid. 1st month I didn't use anything, 2nd month I used OPK's and 3rd month I used OPK's and pre-seed. So hoping I get my BFP this month!! Hopefully you will too! We just have to keep staying positive and hopeful. Baby dust to you!! :)

Don't get discouraged! They say it can take most healthy couples a year to conceive, I'm 20 and DH and I have been ttc since January. The biggest thing that I've realized is to just relax I found that when I was hard on myself everytime I got a bfn it just made the process that much more difficult. We recently just took a month off trying to just relax and that has made a big difference too! If you still feel concerned though bring it up to your doctor if you are able to because it could be something as simple as getting some blood work to look at hormone levels I had to have that done. Also I started taking prenatal vitamins even though I'm not pregnant taking them before you are can help with embryo implantation. Good luck to you I hope you get a BFP soon please don't be discouraged enjoy this process with your partner make it fun and as stress free as you can!! Baby dust to you(:
