Is 2 weeks a normal amount of time to wait for sperm results back?

My man dropped of his sample at the hospital and the form said 7 day wait for results, i thought that was a tad long but a do-able wait, rang up to see if they were ready/when we would find out and they say it'll probably be a 2 week wait! If so this wait is going to kill me! Two weeks seems so long to me or is this normal?
