I don't know if I can help you, but I have also been using these OPK's and with them I have been to hell and back.

I was testing with mine, the first two days were negative and then for the next 5 or so days I had flashing smileys, one was then solid. I am addicted to testing, so out of curiosity I took another from the same urine pot and was flashing.

I always have just gone with it, but at 8DPO I peed on one just to try, and its a full solid smiley, but a complete neg on the dip test. I dont think I trust these tests anymore.

What you dont get told, which CB have put on the instructions is that the test can vary greatly. It all depends on the concentration of the hormones, but the tester also takes the previous reading and compares them. So it will take the morning one and if you take one in the evening and you surge it will show a solid. So you might find your getting flashing and solids for no reason, like i was.

yes I kind of did the same thing. I tested with my old tester (new strips) and new tester with new strips with the same urine sample and the old tester gave me a flashing smiley and the new one gave me a low.. So I threw out the old holder and just used the new one. I have tested between fmu to about 1:30 pm. The 2 prev flashing smileys I got from the old holder my ansewer opk's test strips were very negative. Today they are positive and I did get a solid smile today. I think from what it sounds like as long as we test at the same time every day IE FMU it will give acurate results. But I'm like you I love to test. So that's why I get the test strips too and do both that way I know I'm not missing my surge.
