Cervix/Os Meanings?
Im learning about different ways to check your body when ovulating, When monthly time comes and etc. But would like to know more of what you ladies know and think. Not to be to tmi but this is to all who have tried it. I did check my cervix and os. My cervix was low, could reach with one finger (then again never done this before so dont know really low or high) and my Os was closed tight. What does that mean? I am spotting light brown and slight cramps.

Hi Jessi, it really depends on what day you are at in your cycle. I barely begin checking my cervix a few years ago and I'm 39 now. When your cervix is low, which it probably is since you could touch it, it's usually an indication that you're not ovulating. When it's high and you basically can't find it or feel it, it's about to ovulate.
Spotting too? What day in your cycle are you?

Since it takes forever to type out, I will just give u a link to a previous poster asking a very similar question.
Keep in mind, everyone's cervix is different. Mine is high and/or unreachable for pretty much all of my cycle, even during AF. I have had a medium cervix maybe 3 times in the last yr and a low one twice...everyone is different, and cervical position doesn't always indicate what is going on with ur body at that time, so try not to base what urs is doing off of what it should be doing. Good luck! =))

One of the best things to do to monitor your cervix is to buy a vaginal speculum and look at it like your dr. would. I bought mine from amazon and it is the best purchase I made. You need to look at it everyday at the same time of day to see how much it changes.
I found a great website called www.beautifulcervix.com it shows pictures and even has a home viewing kit you can order. The kit includes a plastic speculum, mirror, flashlight, and lube.
It takes a little time to learn how to place the speculum just right to view the cervix.
I know it sounds like a hassle but it really is the best way to know if you're ovulating. Plus when you are newly pregnant your cervix will tell you sooner than a HPT it plugs up with a mucous plug and it turns a blue hue.
If you monitor it everyday for a couple of months you will see changes occurring then you will know when you're pregnant.
