Question

How long should I use my OPKs?

Yesterday I got my first positive on my OPK. Should I continue to use them until they come up negative again? How does the LH surge work, does it continue throughout ovulation too, or does it stop before? I was under the impression that it stops before ovulation, so thought maybe I should continue testing and know that once I get a negative I have ovulated?

They say to go by the first positive, but I think it is a good idea to keep testing, so you can get use to how each cycle of testing normally goes. It is possible to get false positives. From what I understand from research and the doc. ovulation should occur 24-48 hrs. after the first positive. But it is good to continue intercourse every other day a few days before and after that positive. Hope this helps.
