Question

Best time of the day to use OPK

I have an extremely regular 28 day cycle and will be using the clearblue easy digital opks. When is the best time of day to test? I've been hearing conflicting times. Some say morning is best others say afternoon. For me personally morning is best because I can do it in the privacy of my home and I drink a lot of water so "holding it" for four hours isn't easy. I worry about my urine being diluted and not getting a true reading.. I want to do things correctly and make this month "the one" after Ttc for almost a year. Any advice is helpful

The best time to use it is between 2 and 8 pm. Taking one at 2 and one around 8 gives the best reading. You also don't have to "hold it" just don't drink a ton before you do the opk. Good Luck!

The best time for me was around 11-2. I use the clear blue digital ovulation kit.

Oh and don't listen to anyone who says to use it in the morning. You will not get an accurate reading. I studied these when I was going to school to be an obgyn. You don't have enough LH in the morning. It builds over the day.

I 110% disagree with the "don't listen to anyone who says to use it in the morning" statement. I have had legit positives at different times of the day, most start before noon. I test 3 or more times a day so it's not from a surge that started the evening before and I dont use FMU. So, imo, u CAN test in the morning, as long as its not FMU. Also, testing at 2 and 8 leaves 18hrs between tests, some ppl have surges that are 12hrs or less, start to finish...that would mean u miss it if u happen to start surging at 9pm...making testing pointless! Pick a time that works for u in the morning, then test again 10-12hrs later. Try to space them out evenly with the hours ur awake for. Find what works for U, not what works for everyone else!!! Good luck! =))

That's fine that you disagree but I am going by science here. Every woman is different and some women may get positives in the morning however the majority will only get accurate results in the afternoon. It is scientifically proven. I went to school to be an Obgyn for 8 years. I do know a little bit.

And please forgive me for my tone. We are all here to help women even if we don't agree with someone. Good luck with your tests and I hope you get a BFP soon.

Ok, so "Every woman is different and some women may get positives in the morning" but ur saying NOT to listen to anyone who says test in the am becuz ur making the assumption that she's part of the majority? Science doesnt bend for certain individuals, ur basing hormone synthesis off of a wall clock and they do not function that way. U may wanna brush up on endocrine function.
