Q: does maca root and vitex really help?

I have endometriosis and have irregular cycles. I also suffer from large ovarian cysts. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 13 months. does anyone have experience taking these supplements?

You can definitely take Vitex and Maca together since Maca is just a food it won't hurt anything. It's grown8the mountains of Peru, and the natives eat it on a daily basis. It's like a yam and is a dietary staple like the potatoe is to us. It's a super food and does wonders for balancing hormones and fertility. I take Vitex and Maca and they both have helped me.

I do not have endo but I am currently taking these supplements along with Evening Primrose Oil(EPO) and Red Raspberry Leaf(RRL). For the last year or so my cycles have been all over the place ranging from 23 days to 46 days! I have been taking vitex and EPO since Jan, and RRL and maca beginning this cycle. I am on CD 14 and got a + OPK!! This is the earliest I have had a positive, my usual ovulation day ranges from day 18- 23 depending on how my cycle is going to act. I do believe the supplements are helping. I am not sure if that really answers your question since I am only halfway through my first cycle on maca but I thought it was worth noting :)

thanks! no, I'm not worried about my endo at this point. I'm only taking it to regulate my cycles. I can deal with my endo pain for now, I just really want my cycles to calm down and regulate. they're all over the place. this was my longest cycle (47 days) I thought of maca root but someone said not to use maca root and vitex together so I decided to get the Vitex.
baby dust!! fx!

Well I just ordered maca root for myself. Maca root is to help balance hormones in the body as is vitex. I've tried vitex and really didn't do anything for me. If your irregular af is caused by hormonal imbalance hopefully it will help you!! I don't think it will help with the endo. I don't think anything but a laproscope will help with endo but I could be wrong. As of yet I have not been diagnosed with endo. I hope it will help us!!!
