Possibly pregnant after first depo shot?

I was given my first depo shot on April 8th. However, my period had ended April 3rd. The nurse practitioner said I should be fine and it would kick in right away. However, I got a call a few days ago from my normal GYN stating that I should not have unprotected at all because I was misinformed. Oops! Little late. I believe I ovulated on April 12th and the unprotected sex was on the 13th, so within the 24 hour range. Since it's my first month on the depo shot and I got it well after my period, is there even a chance that I could be pregnant? The wait is absolutely killing me.
