Twins is genetic it needs to be on your side of the family I believe, I don't think any particular day aids twins its just luck I think on clomid

I'm with tottie twins are genetic however your chances are increased on clomid. However it's just luck I do not believe there is any "formula" of days. You should take the clomid on the days your dr tells you to. Remember there are hugely increased risks with multiple pregnancys. And as much as you love the idea of twins it's not easy! We have 3 friends with twins.. (two are ivf twins) all were born severely premature spent 7-10 weeks in newborn intensive care.. And barely get an hours sleep at a time. Just take the clomid as instructed and hopefully you will get your bfp wether that be one or two bubs

Thanks for that, I have heard there are certain days to start on clomid for higher chance of twins but just not sure if it was 2-6 or 3-7 x

If you want to increase your chances for multiples, take a trigger shot before or around ovulation to release all your mature eggs. No way to control what you're going to get though. Could be 0, 1, 2 or even 3--if you release that many eggs.

And you're half right on your info. If you take Clomid earlier, it tends to produce more eggs. If later, better quality eggs. But again, w/o the trigger, your odds are much lower. We're talking fraternal, though. Identicals you only need one egg obviously.

It's something you have to ask your dr. about as it has to be monitored with ultrasounds. Here in Greece we can get the shot w/o prescriptions but technically you should have one and your dr. may or may not want to issue it. S/he may not think you need it or you could make so many eggs, they don't want to risk triplets or greater. If you're really wanting twins, it's something you could ask your dr. about, but again, any outcome is possible if you release 2-3 eggs. From what I've read of those doing IUI, it's pretty rare to get triplets, but it doesn't happen and most drs. will not allow triggers for 4 or more follicles.

This was my 3rd month triggering and waiting to see how it went. I had 2-3 follicles on my one working ovary but BFNs both times. I'm over 40 though so that's a big factor.

Something I didn't know, is the fact that most eggs we create are duds. The younger you are, the more "baby making eggs" you have. So, for a normal, healthy 25 year old, the baby making eggs are typically 1 in 3. But, for someone my age (38 in May) the baby making eggs could be from 1 in 5 to 1 in 12 or more. I took clomid to condense a few months worth of eggs into one month, to save time really.
But, a study done to try to find out if twins are genetic pointed out that the only genetic link to twins is fraternal twins. The reason is, ovulating more than one egg at a time can be genetic. So, that's what runs in the family on the mother's side. But, twins themselves are not genetic.
I was wondering about twins because the clomid made me produce five follicles. So, I did a bunch of research. But, it's crazy how much of a variety of answers there are to the same question. I found that putting "American Medical Association" in my Google searches, finds mo

Just gonna chyme in here. Not to be rude so please don't take it that way, but don't be ridiculous hun. Do not take a drug that requires some sort of monitoring without a doctor involved. That's incredibly irresponsible and frankly hearing about it annoys the heck out of us ladies who actually need it just to conceive one baby. Women who buy prescription drugs off the net have a different mentality than the rest of us so I know nothing I say will change your mind but maybe keep it to yourself. Plus, you would have to take a pretty hefty dose of Clomid (if that's even what you have and I doubt it is, there are many fakes on the net) to release 3 or 4 eggs which is what you would generally need to have a good shot at twins. And in having that high a dose there is a good chance you will either over stimulate or end up with a cyst. Whatever you choose to do is up to you but remember, it could wind up biting you in the butt later.
